Leroy is a traditional watch brand and the beneficiary of an exceptional heritage that has been handed down from generation to generation since 1747, the year in which Basile Charles Le Roy began his apprenticeship with the Parisian master watchmaker Quentin.
Its workshops, officially established in 1785 in the arcades of the Palais Royal, have written some of the most beautiful pages in the history of French watchmaking and timekeeping, based on the passion of two dynasties of craftsmen whose genius was inspired as much by the applied arts as by science. Known as the 'royal watchmaker', Leroy watches have transported this influence through ages. The timepiece we are presenting you here is an outstanding example of this influence.
The most famous clients of Leroy were Queen Marie Antoinette, Count Axel de Fersen and the Minister of Sweden. Today, the important historical L.Leroy watches are presented in the Leroy Museum.
