Giuseppe Viviani was an important Italian painter, engraver, and printmaker of the twentieth century, particularly celebrated for his poetic and highly personal etchings.
Although relatively discreet during his lifetime, Viviani is now regarded as one of the major Italian printmakers of the twentieth century. His works are represented in numerous public and private collections in Italy and abroad, including collections of the Uffizi Galleries and several Italian museums dedicated to graphic arts.
