A fine vintage Baume & Mercier Genève from mid-20th-century (likely 1940s–1950s), two-register chronograph in 18k Yellow Gold, Case Diameter
Case: Round case in yellow gold, likely 18K, with elegant and well-proportioned lugs. The case measures approximately 37 mm in diameter, with crown. It is fitted with pump pushers and a period-correct crown. The case shows light signs of wear consistent with age while remaining well preserved overall.
Dial: Original silvered dial with a refined and balanced layout. Applied Arabic numerals and matching gold-tone hands. Two-register configuration with small seconds at 9 o’clock and chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock. Outer tachymeter scale in blue. The dial presents a light, even patina, consistent with its vintage character.
Movement: Manual-winding chronograph Landeron 48 movement, one of the most important and widely used chronograph movements of the mid-20th century, produced by the renowned Swiss manufacturer Fabrique d'Ébauches de Fontainemelon (FEF) / Landeron, part of the historic Ebauches SA group. Reliable and robust construction. The movement is running well
Condition: Very good overall vintage condition. The case remains well defined with normal signs of use. The dial is well preserved with honest aging. The watch presents nicely on the wrist and is fitted with a new leather strap.
Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds, Chronograph (start, stop, reset), Tachymeter scale
