Audemars Frères was a Swiss watchmaking company established in the late 19th century by brothers Hector Adolphe Audemars and Charles Henri Audemars Jr., grandsons of the renowned watchmaker Louis Audemars. Following the bankruptcy of the original Louis Audemars & Fils company in 1885, the brothers founded Audemars Frères in Le Brassus and Geneva.
The firm gained recognition for crafting high-quality timepieces, including complicated pocket watches. Notably, an 18k gold hunter case quarter repeating pocket watch produced by Audemars Frères once belonged to U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, highlighting the brand's prominence during its operational years.
