Geneva Watch Days 2025: Where Watchmaking Meets City Soul
Share
In early September, Geneva transforms into a vibrant stage for watch enthusiasts as Geneva Watch Days (GWD) unfolds—now its most expansive edition yet. This year, an impressive 66 brands showcased their novelties across the city, including independent ateliers and major maisons alike
What truly sets GWD apart is its decentralized philosophy. Rather than a single exhibition hall, brands open their doors across Geneva—from stylish hotel suites to iconic boutiques—with the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc Pavilion serving as a central meeting hub by the lake
The Pavilion, recently updated with a fresh nautical ambiance, displayed over 150 watches and hosted the “Culture Club” gatherings
The event is not merely a showcase—it’s an immersive horological festival. Visitors enjoy expert-led guided tours, panels, and workshops in the “Glassbox”, exploring design trends, sustainability, and culture through lively symposiums
One standout highlight: the debut of Calibership, a cutter-edge watch-regulating competition that brings skilled young watchmakers to the forefront, judged by the COSC
GWD also carries a heart. The annual charity auction, held in partnership with Phillips, supports Geneva’s watchmaking apprentices through the Pierre Amstutz Fund. This year’s edition continued the tradition of giving back to the craft’s future talent
Unlike traditional trade shows, Geneva Watch Days feels alive with openness, summer charm, and real connection—the essence of "watchmaking differently." With its growing attendance, brand diversity, and cultural depth, GWD looks poised to remain a highlight of the horological calendar.
